the only let down with my new z600 is that i cant use a ringtone for my sms alert tone, i loved this feature on my old nokia 6100, are there any plans to allow this function on the next firmware upgrade ???

No pleasing some people!!!
I quite like the sms alerts in this phone. Better than the beep-beep from the pre-T68 days. But then this is my first polyphonic ringing phone too.

what puzzles me is the lack of customization on these phones - i mean it's like having having a pc that you can only turn on and off - do you think there'll be a stage where you can customize the entire interface ?
i'd like to be able to change the way the menus are accessed and the contents of the menus - i know 'my shortcuts' comes some way to this, but you would hope that one day you'd really be able to dig around in the OS !

Well, I have to say that I (and I doubt I am alone in this) really should NOT be able to modify the OS
No doubt I'd mess it up permanently
