Hi,

before you ask I have done a search and found nothing, I have a couple of things that I don't think are working correctly and I am sure someone on here will put me right. not posted before but been lurking for a while.

okay I have the phone set for t9 with the flip closed - oly option it gives, however it does not work in predictive mode (had a t68 before)

also with my t68 and logitech BT headset in automatic mode I used to get ringing tone in the earpiece when a call came in so I didn't need to be in earshot of the phone and the voice control worked fine, however with the p900 I can use the headset when I press the button on it and use a magic word - but I didn't need to do this on the T68 not a major problem, but I do not get the ringing in the headset - any ideas

firmware for info
fone R3A024 BT R5D
organiser R1A05 CDA R1A04

thanks in advance
Ian

okay i admit the T9 question was silly now I found the that you have to set the option when the flip is closed. I have updated the firmware on the phone to the latest last night in the hope of solving the BT problem, but I still can't get the ring tone to transfer to the headset, does this happen with the SE headsets or is it just a feature that is not available on this phone, if so it is a shame because it worked great on the T68.

I had a lot of problems with the update, due mainly to the server being busy, however when it was quiet it went smoothly, just remember to switch phone off before putting it in the cradle when prompted.

thanks Ian

sony erricson said you wont get the ringtone on bluetooth headset/car kit when i asked.

I have tested mine with parott ck3000 car kit and ericson head set (friends) and just got a beep from both!

thanks for the info turbominor - I hope maybe they will do it in a FW update sometime in the future, at least I can stop experimenting now and concentrate on getting vpn to work.

Thanks
