ok-please dont jump me. i can not get my new p900 (mmmm jury still not quite sure yet) to sync to xp laptop usng the usb cradle. on the links page it shows as being connected, but when i try to sync or use the p900 page it says it aint connected. i have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but still no joy. i have checked the sony site for help and the read me-but i cant do it. i have also been in the tech forum but couldnt find anything to help
it was so much easier with my old xda!
any help would be really appreciated

You said "on the links page " - what do you mean by that?
There should be an icon on your status bar that should indicate if your P900 is linked.
Please confirm:
1. You have installed the latest version of the PC Suite s/w (2.0.1)
2. You followed the instructions (like don't connect the sync station to the USB while installing the PC Suite s/w)
3. You have tried an alternative USB port
4. On the Control Panel in XP using Phone Monitor Options the selected USB COM port for the synch statiob has been enabled
5. When you select properties for the Phone Conneciton Link icon (status bar) the correct COM is selected (same COM port as enabled in the Phone Monitor)
6. You disabled any firewall s/w (and possibly virus check s/w) when you installed PC SUite
7. You uninsalled PC SUite before re-installing it
8. You have unistalled any Nokia phone s/w
There lots of there checks you should find if you read the threads that have been provided to you by other Esato members.

i have done al the steps, including disable my norton, my sync station connecten on com 15, i have enable & reserved it on the phone monitor option
when i load my phone on the syncstation, the status on my phone link is connected, but, on my p900 icon still not connected, if i right click on the phone link --> change phone, the known & unknown phone list is empty
is there any solution on this?
