Can we upgrade?
Has anyone succeeded?
If not, when?

I've definitely seen a post from a guy on here that got his Orange T610 upgraded at the CPW in Nottingham.

Possibly me!
I have had an orange T68 upgraded three times (twice CPW nottingham, once service centre).
Also had my Orange T610 done once at CPW.
All with no (major) problems, had to take the T68 back and get it flashed again though.
Usual warnings about CPW apply

As this is the P800/900 forum, I would of thought it was self explanatory that I was talking about the P900 upgrade (homeflash).
So am I to presume that nobody has done it?

I tried it on my orange p900, it said i already had the latest firmware but i did it anyway and it has made no difference so i guess we will have to wait for SE to release a newer firmware

In a vain effort to get a problem on my P900 fixed I took it to an SE service centre to get it flashed.
The Orange firmware is later than the one that the service centre downloaded from SE but I said go ahead and down-flash it anyway (to the release that people at home are now downloading from the SE site)
Bad thing was that it didn't fix my problem. Good thing was that all the Orange stuff went and got the standard SE startup and shutdowns - organiser and CDA changed. This probably meant that I would've been able to flash it myself at home in future becuase the CDA version changed.

i called orange and asked if they had approved any later firmwares than shipped on current handsets and got a cold no.
It looks like we are stuck with what orange have given us unless we visit a service center
shame we still have r5d as the bluetooth firmware..
