I have a t610.... w/c has an email client....
I am using a smart prepaid....
I paid yahoo.com $19.99 to have pop access and forwarding capability for my email....
I can download my email via outlook express...
but when I try to configure my phone with yahoo settings, it can't download my emails...
I likewise have a softhome.net email acct... still I can't download my email with my T610....
My t610 SW version is R1L.... and my GPRS is on and usable
what do you think... my phone email client is not capable or my smart prepaid won't let me or my settings are all wrong...
please help..... T610 owners using your email client please tell me how you do it
thanks

Ask your providor for their ip address, and use that insead of the pop.whatever.co.uk and smpt.whatever.co.uk, as i had this problem with both o2 and freeserve. But o2 now works fine via i.p address. Freeserve won't work on my phone, even though outlook settingas are exactly the same and it works fine on tht.

you need to contact your service provider and possibly sony ericsson. i have a t610 as well. the email client pop configuration screens for pop3 on mine seem to have one insufficient field...
instead of username for one of the servers it has mailbox (which is a rather outdated method of pop3).
sony's tech support is pretty good and they're working on the issue now.
