Having had both an XDA2 & P900 I can say with 100% accuracy that the XDA2 is by far better than the P900 for video work.

I kept the P900 for many other reasons but if its video recording & playing your after then the XDA2 is the one.

if u were allowed to only bring one thing at a time, which one will u choose ????
hehehh i ask this because i also can't deceide which one is bettter
i really have no desire for the camera+video thing, only things matter to me is the phone and pda function, i already bought P900
and i like the keypad , but it seems that it lacks of any good games and also the RF performance is not up to my liking , so thingking to tade it with an XDAII but still not sure wheter i can live with only touch screen

If someone said I had to give up my P900 & have an XDA2 I would still be happy to have the XDA2 but for different reasons to the P900.

If I could choose again I still think I would choose P900 & if the video recorder/playback was on par with the XDA2 & it took bigger than 128MB DUO (still TBA) the P900 would easily be my choice over the XDA2.

As a final comment:

I still found I soft reset the XDA2 about once per day (better than my old iPAQ3970) but have never had any problems at all with the P900 in over 3 weeks. Also battery life is far better with P900 & I would miss the proper keypad for phone functions.

I can only reiterate all of the above...

I too have suffered the "which is better p900 or XDA2", and suffice to say that I opted for the P900, which whilst arguably not the best of the two (though i believe it is now!), just seemed to suit what I wanted out of the device... I was replacing a mobile phone, but wanted an organiser/jack of all trades (voice recorder, internet, mp3 player in particular)... it being a good a time as any to actually upgrade what i expect out of a (smart)phone

This is not to say that I didn't find the XDA2 impressive... the larger screen was the biggest attraction for me, and the fact that it took pictures and video at full size was an added extra (and at an acceptable quality for phone also)... It also felt very responisve to use, and anyone who has used and like windows, will feel at home instantly, but whilst it is such an attractive device, the fact that it looked and felt like an organiser, and a relatively large one at that when compared to dedicated organisers, just turned me off... I don't really like to advertise the fact that I have a £500-£600 thing with me at all times, and people from quite a distance would be able to notice it... the P900 in comparison, looks and feels like a mobile, it not being any bigger really than the average phone around (and IMO looks like a somewhat outdated model from a distance!)... which doesn't act as a "rob me" sign... and since it is so handleable(if that is a word!), I tend to take it out everywhere with me, as I did with my mobile phone

As a phone the P900 is certainly more functional for everyday use... and it has all I need, but then I don't really demand the high end organiser functions that the XDA2 supposedly has (I was, and still am to some extent, the proud owner of a Series 5, but found that I only took it out with me when it was required for a specific purpose) ... and battery life as mentioned, would be an issue... although the rep at O2 said 7 days standby, I know that this is very conservative at best... I get around 4 days combined standby and usage out of the P900 at present, which I suits me fine (I have owned older organisers only, and they would not last this long, so with telephony included, the P900 battery life is commendable in this respect), and know of people who charge their XDA2 every day or thereabouts... and of course there is that PPC bug which restricts the number of things that can be run at once... which may be an issue

The main thing is, when I bought the P900, I didn't look for the XDA2 again in spite of my initial consideration of it... so i suppose from my point of view, that says it all... I do think though that in chosing which to have, you cannot really make a "bad" choice (though maybe a wrong choice based on what you need from it), since they are both exceptional devices...
