> P900 on O2
Bookmark topic
Hi, I've just picked up my P900 from an O2 shop today, and on popping it onto the charger, and again turning the phone off, I notice that a brief O2 animation is played. I was wondering if this means that the phone is in some way configured to O2 as many Orange phones seem to be?
You'll have to forgive me if this is a daft question, but if I'd have bought the phone from somewhere else, would it play a SE animation like my T68i when turning on and off?

Thanks! I'm on the O2 50 tariff, and the phone was £299.99 as an upgrade. Unfortunately I didn't think to change to a more expensive tarriff to get the phone cheaper, as i've since read as a suggestion on this forum somewhere. Oh well. I'm sitting looking at it charging in the hope that it might in some way speed up the process, so that I can start playing with it! It's not working though I don't think.

Good on ya mate

it'll soon be charged..
Dont worry about the startup and shutdown screens they are the only customisations on the phone according to a statement i just read in another thread.....

@ _AJ_
From where you got your

P900 from? O2 display? Can't be true right? I just bought mine from CPW today on O2 and will collect it tomorrow as I don't have my paperwork with me.
CPW is selling the P900 factory unlocked on 02 so I hope there's no customization as you mentioned!

I got the phone from the O2 shop in the trafford centre. It's got O2 wallpaper as well, but I'm only just starting to explore the phone for other bits and pieces. Checked the firmware on the SE site, and it looks like it's O2's own as well.

when will the bloody networks realise that we dont want,or need their crappy customisation? it brings little new functionality to the phone and its about as welcome as a dose of the flu. grrr
