> Sending a fax with T610 from Windows
Bookmark topic
Hi.
I think I'm on the right track here but I am doing something wrong. I would appreciate any help on this.
I connect my T610 to my PC using a USB cable and everything works fine. I have installed SE's Mobile Phone Monitor, it does recognize the phone and the phone's modem and fax drivers are installed.
I have also installed the Fax cababilities of Windows XP.
So, when I try to send a fax from within Word, everything seems to be going well, the phone lights up as if it is about to dial and then I get a pop up message on my computer screen saying that "the line is busy." The phone does not even dial and I get that message!! :?
Any thoughts, ideas?
Thanks!

I just called T-Mobile via 611 and the Wireless Data Svcs Tech Rep said I have to pay $9.99/month for CSD. He said CSD is required to have faxmodem capability from my laptop through the SonyEricsson T610. He also said that data modem calls are not allowed at any price. Thus dialing into another analog data modem (such as a home PPP/DUN server) is impossible.
I only called 611 after trying to fax something through the T610 (Bluetooth) and a Motorola V60 (USB cable) with repeated "busy signal" failures. Voice dialing from the keypad always dialed just fine and the fax machine would answer and warble/tone.
There is no mention of CSD or $9.99 required for fax capability at
www.t-mobile.com. I figured if I purchase a phone with data/fax capability, it should work. Not!
