Hello, i have a p900 brand new, unlocked and would happily sell it for £350. Im not registered on ebay, and therefore assume that having no feedback points would be detrimental to my credibility, especially at that price. Whats my best options for selling it? would i be successful on ebay you reckon? is that place just a fraudsters haven or what?

if you give people your mobile number in the auction, and also tell them you will give them a landline number if they email you, and that they can call you on those numbers to check its you, then you should be fine

try and give the impression that you know it looks risky but that you will do anything possible to reduce peoples fears (i.e. accept escrow, COD (cash on delivery) etc etc. chances are that just saying that will mean people will believe you, and you won't actually have to use escrow.

make sure you don't offer 'risky' payment methods like western union - anything paid WU won't turn up. if you offer paypal, then most people (dependant on country you're in and country you're shipping to) are covered by the paypal 'buyer protection' scheme - even though this completely sucks - which supposedly will give them their money back if the goods don't turn up. in reality paypal will pocket about 50% of the money as 'service charges' - or so it's said (no personal experience of this). you could put someting along these lines in the auction, although if you try and make yourself seem too un-shady people will get suspiscious.

inicidentally, how did you get the phone, and why do you want to sell so cheap?

I had a p800 for a year, and got a p900 on an upgrade. my p8 is still gravy so i thought 350 would be some nice scrill instead. its cheap, its easy, therefore its suspicious! would like to sell it though, maybe i should ask 450 instead?!

A genuine seller would normally give an idea of where they are & would not have a problem giving people living nearby a chance to come & buy it in person, i would be very suspicious of someone not offering this option.
