Bookmark topic
Hi all,
I recently got a T610. Overall I am happy with the phone except this:
The backlight of the screen stays on during a call at about 50% brightness. I had a two hour phone call with the battery fully charged and that was about it the battery died.
I was wondering if this is how the phone supposed to function or I it should be fixed with a firmware upgrade. For your info I have R1S.
Your input will be highly appreciated.
Thanks...

The backlight should not stay on during a call. It should turn itself off after a few seconds and should only turn back on when you press a button. Just make sure that it is not set to 'on', but it should be set to 'auto/automatic'.
And to answer your other question, yes, a firmware upgrade might fix this problem. The current firmware version is R3C002/R3C004. The firmware ver. will depend on the language that you are using

Thanks CrackerJack for your reply
I have the display light setting to Automatic and that's why it made me wonder. Well I guess I need to upgrade the firmware....

If the firmware upgrade doesn't fix the problem, have it replaced right away.

I think it's normal to stay dim. 2hrs phone call means 2 days in stand-by. Thats normal too. And if u were on the move while talking..the dim light didnt consume the energy but the call.

Yeah both my T610s keep the backlight on (dimly) during a call.

Yeah mine stays dim... although I did have a 1:30 call yesterday and that only took 3 chunks from the top of my battery... but then again I had 5 bars of signal

Its normal, why discuss this when its obvious u need to see how many minutes u are on the phone and other stuff like the time, and the light going dim is a really nice feature! :-)
