I have a T-Mobile account, using a T-300. In the "Picture" submenu of the "Messages" under Options I think that I have something configured wrong. Where it says "Message Server" my stting is "desktopgirl.com" This is a replacement phone from SE as my 1st phone had problems. I used to be able to email pictures to my phone and save them, but I can no longer do that with this new phone. I also can't send anything from the Pictures menu. My WAP profile is set to T-Zones. What is the correct message server and how can I send pic to my phone and save them like before??

Thanx...
Bryce

Let me state the obvious - your network provider knows those settings better than anyone and can even relay the settings to you via OTA provisioning.

Call T-Mobile customer service (611) and ask them to give or send you server settings for Picture Messaging.

Come to think of it... why didn't you do it in the first place?

Because I hate the hoops U have to jump thru - giving name, phone #, home #, SS # and explaining my problem to 3 different people - then have them act like they've never heard of this problem B4! Then they wanna check 4 service outages, list your account settings so they can tell U that by golly U are signed up 4 MMS service. All of wich happened twice 2day when I called because the connection dropped B4 I got an answer the 1st time! :-l This message was posted from a T300

The servers can be configured on line.. and probably the default servers are listed. Note that last week they were doing screwy stuff with their servers, routers, and GSM network.

https://www.t-mobile.com/mytmobile/login/default.asp?

follow link at bottom 'my email on my phone'

on left go to 'mailboxes' link.

edit the mailbox in question.

under the advanced tab, you should set your receive server to your email account's incoming server. the outgoing server is set to a tmobile server by default.

otherwise you may have to call. i haven't found that the data side of tmobile's network is very reliable... tho i may have hardware issues as well as a new t610 deployment and new GSM deployment.

good luck,
-mT
