I recently had a m, but now got an i!
in the m I had all the numbers in the sim card, and also copied all the numbers to the phone memory.
Now, I have done exactly the same thing in the i-model, but all my contacts lies in a big mess.
Like, for example in the m phone I could just press down on the joystick and hit "e" and then all the contacts that starts with "e" comes up, which was quite alot since all the people I work with at esso would come up, everyonye starting with esso and then their name.
But now in the i-model I get like two people on "e" and then it goes to the next letter. Even if I search for esso, it shows like one contact that has with the letter "e" to do. It should be like 15 in a row since I have 15 contacts that start with esso
But if I scroll my entire phonebook I find them all, but it takes a lot of time and is really a hazzle. And if I for example search for "høna" which is one of my contacts it doesnt find it. not even if I search the letter "h".
I have to scroll like a maniac to find the contact called "Høna"
Also some contacts have the letters $ £ and ? assigned to them.
Well, basically I dont understand anything of this phonebook so could somebody please give me a hint on how to make it work like my old T68m, where I could search for a contact and actually find it!
I`m considering calling SE helpdesk in the morning if nobody here understands what I mean
Thanks in advance!

Have you checked if the phone-book is sorted by first or second name?

The weird letters you see are the caller groups you had on another phone. For example on my nokia i had a group called family and now on my t68i all of those contacts that were on family have $ beside them...hope that helps.

i thought the t68i got rid of the first name/last name concept, and that there was only one field for name? so can you still sort by first or last name in the t68i???
