Man, so this is my story...
I've had a p800 for about 6 months, then all of a sudden, the phone would make these crazy noises and shut down all of the time by itself...i do'nt know why. so i sent it in to the service center and they returned it "guranteed to be working" and of course, it still did not work. alas, i sent it again, to the "level2" repair center on october 22, and i have YET TO SEE MY PHONE BACK. I called 3 times and they have said "it will be there next week" "next week" - "sorry we're experiencing major delays".
I just want my warrenty to be extended for the 2 and a half months that my phone hasn't even been in my hands, but they won't do it, as a matter of fact, they won't do ANYTHING AT ALL!!!
so, well i'm going to wait until friday, and if i don't get it then, i'm going to have to file a complaint with the BBB or something, or well, any suggestions? I have been totally ripped off. seriously, its been 2 and a half months- and just 1 and a half since i've even SEEN MY PHONE!
blech, never buying SE again.

Just have your lawyer type a threatening letter and fax it to the service centre...
That'll have your phone (or a new one for that matter) back in your hands in no time.
But seriously, it really sucks big time, but you have to put everything in writing and make sure you know your dates and the time it takes them to "repair" your phone.
edit: It'll make your case stronger whenever they start arguing with you about 'normal procedures' or 'the delays were out of our hands' or crap like that.
I'd have demanded a new one after about 3 to 4 weeks.
Good luck man.

I agree with the last poster. Just threaten them and it'll work.

No offence mate, but I can't believe that you even let it get to that stage in the first place. They say Britain doesn't have the lawsuit culture that America has, but if it would have been me I would have had a solicitor onto them before they could give me another excuse.
Get your solicitor onto them lickity split old boy. They'll be singing a different tune if they think the long arm of the law is about to grab them.

There must have been some minor problems with the fone itself . . . but the majority of your troubles lies now with the service centers - right ? So, therefore you must not totally blame SE for the discomfort it had brought you . . . Make your presence felt inside the center itself, like, say, bring a 'bazooka' with you when you visit the place next time - if that did not work, might as well rent an ' amphibian -tank' from the US Army/Marines - armoury ! Shoot the manager right between the eyes - and that will solve your problem, not with your fone, but with the service center itself - retalliation !
