Guys,
Has anyone sucessfully managed to change tariffs with O2 before the 1st 3 months? I asked the advisor when i purchased a p900 from them at the weekend who told me that i could change my tariff straight away by calling customer services, and have had a read through the terms and conditions and there is no stipulation of a 3 month limit. However when i called customer services to change down to the £15 a month plan i have been told that they cant do it as it is "Company policy" not to allow changes down within the 1st 3 months.
Has anyone suceeded in doing this, if so, who did you speak to? I am not even remotely convinced by the legality of the "Company policy" thing dispite it not being in the conditions, so just checking before i start getting stroppy with them on the phone.
Cheers
A.

Yes you are right......i tried yesterday and got the same answer....but its not in their contract. The phone is still well worth the £270 we paid or it but its a matter of principle...if it was written then fine but as it is not written i'm writing to oftel to complian....a company of such stature cannot work on verbal policies.
Lets all get writing to oftel i'm sure it will hit em in a big way and we will all get our refunds
But then again we might be spoiling it for others

Is it written in the contract that you are allowed to change tarriff at all? If not, it's up to them when (or if) they allow you.

yeah basically i've signed for a 12 month £45 a contract and there is absolutly no reason for them to let me change that. its up to them.
what bothers me is that it says the make and model of the phone on the contract too. o2 arn't going to like us!
i'm not sure i'd wanna go to the £15 a month contract anyway - i quite like having all these mins and txts.
