I know that some of you have updated your Orange P900 with the orginal firmware at a SE service centres. I just want to see your view on this. Is you have had any problems and where you have done it. I live in london and im wondering if anyone from london had done this and where?
Thanx!

Will this Orange store update the firmware to the "standard P900, no orange stuff, and allows SE updates" ? Or will this be an update for the orange P900.
How long did the flashing at this store take?

Thanx for your help. I will go there and do mine when I can.
Have you used the SE update yet on your P900 or was the update the latest? Is there any noticable difference in the performance? And what was lost, so in know what to post and im curious to see what you miss.
THanx for your time!!!

Why would you loose the orange stuff if you made a backup of the phone before upgrading the firmware?

Some stuff like the Orange email wizard dont seem to work and other little orange stuff, infact my system was messed up, because of my P800 i made a backup of my p800 on the same page and it got confused, because it found a new phone that didnt have anything to do with Orange, i was lucky i saved all my contacts and all on my p800, transfared them and its all fine.

I have just had my phone flashed by the Orange service centre on Oxford Street. Now have CDA R2A10 (hurrah, applet support, bluetooth fix, etc).
Winston said to spread the word of their existence, seems like no one knows about them (orange cust services certainly don't seem to be aware of a london-local service centre).
Just turn up and ask to be flashed to the latest version. They told me to come back in 3 hours. Guess it depends on how busy they are.
