It's not actually a "logo" - like the Nokia where you can put your own funny graphics etc on.
Its just Plain text - I haven't tried it but I guess you could rename it by going into the Network options:
Applications -> Control Panel -> Connections tab -> GSM Networks -> Preferred List -> Add Network -> Add New
Then put the country code and network code in as your networks is set, then call it something else like "My Phone".

I can remove it, but I can't change it!

I guess that's what he means but how did you do it. Background white, text white, outline white? Or is it just computer fixed?

@Universal Exports
Yes, you're right. By creating a theme in which the operator text and the background use the same colour!

which leads onto the question... why do you want the operator name to be invisable?

Well unless your stupid, you know on wich network you are unless you are roaming, so they should place an option in the phone. Don't know why operators insist that their name should be displayed on the screen

so what happens if you've removed the operator text, but have no signal on your network.. so the phone goes to SOS calls only.
The network indicator shows a nice healthy signal, even though you have none for your network.
Thus you cant actually use your phone properly and you get annoyed when you cant ring anyone.... 5mins later you wish you'd never removed it in the first place
