Does anyone who has recently bought an Orange P900 have later firmware than Phone R3B004, Bluetooth R5D, Organiser R1C01 or CDA R2B01?
Bought mine a week ago, the phone's creaking like hell and if there's later firmware it might just push me into returning it for a newer one as there is no Orange upgrade yet - that I can find.
If I've missed a post/FAQ then apologies all round.

I believe you have the latest "Orange" firmware chap.. Orange has declined any knowledge of a new firmware release when queried last week.. I don't suppose they will see one until next year maybe..

Yup you do - and just to clarify the SE online firmware update does not even touch it! It says "you have the latest version", and even if you choose to continue it doesnt do anything to the versions at all!
The only way to upgrade it is to wait for Orange to release one (which they have no plans to do when i phoned them last week) or find an SE care centre that will flash it
Whats more annoying is that there isn't a local SE care centre near where i am, nearest is Brighton!
CPW said they don't have the fw yet either!

Thanks for the info. I used to have the original SPV from November last year and Orange took a 2 or 3 months to release a firmware upgrade. I know the people on the Smartphone Modaco forum applied loads of pressure on Orange to get it sorted. Perhaps the P800/900s owners/forum need to do the same.
Just been playing around with the screws inside the P900 battery cover. Have managed to get rid of most of the creaking sound.
Unscrewed them 2 turns then screwed them back in 1/4 turn at a time until least creaky! Guess I'll be sticking with the P900 I've got.

Does anyone know how the SE firmware upgrade service knows that the P900 is an Orange phone? I got my Orange P900 unlocked but did not manage to upgrade the firmware but received lots of SE multimedia content.
