I have some problems with my joystick when I press it to the left or down. It sometimes only respond after more then four presses or keeping it pressed for a while. After that it will work fine, till I dont use it and it wont respond again the next time I want to use it.

Has anyone experienced this? I dont think I can go back to the store, cause they will take it away for a week or two en give it back and say that they havent found anything. Could it be dust?

It seems to me as a hardware problem. I'm afraid that the only solution is to take it back...

Gonna ask em to have a look at it when i next upgrade-very frustrating tho :-( also it wont always scroll down when i want it to :-( This message was posted from a T610

It could be that your joystick needs replacing, or it could also be dust/dirt.

I've even heard of somebody's T610 joystick and top three keys (1,2 and 3) not responding to normal pressure because of accumulated lint. The owner, apparently, keeps the phone inside his jeans pocket. The pocket lint got into the phone thru the gap at the bottom of the joystick.

Try vacumming your phone, and see if it helps. There are several gaps on the phones case where dust could go thru.

Otherwise, you have no choice but to bring your phone to

But how do I vacuum it? I try to blow in it, but that doesnt really help. I also never keep it in dusty places and clean it alot. I normally dont mind but with SMS it's horrible. If I type a word and it's not the right one, I press left to get my T9 list, but most of the time that wont work. So I press it 12089923849 times or keep it pressed and then I've already passed the word.

But Im not the only one with this problem huh boyi. I guess Ill have to ask when Im at SE to get my new firmware.

"Try to use the dustsucker on your phone"

a vacuum on a phone, what an unusual feature to have, might be useful though

Same thing! Only mine wont go right and sometimes up! What a pity, I thought that you guys already know how to resolve this. Is there any way to open the phone for the cleaning purposes? This message was posted from a T610
