Hi, I have a dialup networking account with earthlink that I use on my laptop when I'm outside. I would like to try to connect to internet on my P900 through dialup instead of GPRS (Cingular rips off like crazy for GPRS) So far, I haven't been able to get the dialup function working. I had it setup to try to call my own house, and all it says was "call was not answered". It never even Called!! Could Cingular be blocking off dialup networking calls?? Any info would be helpful, thanks!

I'm not trying to connect to internet with my laptop via P900.
All I want to do is connect to internet with "dialup" account that I have with my ISP. and use the P900's opera browser to surf internet.
Everything is done on the phone itself only.
Do I need some kinda "data-enable" service instead of regular voice cellphone service? Anyone know?

I got my p800 working with my bt internet account working, so i could send and receive mail and surf the net. It took a while and a lot of messing about but i did get it working in the end !

do you connect to internet through dialup or GPRS? I know you can do it with GPRS, but they charge you outta your nose!! If you know how to get the dialup working, please let me know, thanks!

I have not done this manually myself as all the internet accounts were preset on my P900. But a dial-up account has been set-up on my P900 using control panel/connections/internet accounts - you should see all the normal dial-up account entries there. I will have a look later and try one of my ISPs and let you know.

Dial-up works for me. As described above, you need to add a dial up account in Internet Connections. Posted this using dial-up.
