I really need a bit of help......I bought a SE P900 about a month ago....it's a good phone. I've downloaded a few games and some extra software e.g HandySafe, The Pad, Hotviewer. Everything has been working fine. Then today my phone made a funny blip sound and shutdown on its own. When I try to turn it on, it goes through the opening image and SE logo and automatically shuts down again. Have cleaned battery contact and Sim card...no difference. Has anyone any ideas? Has anyone had same thing? I'm wondering if it's a virus from internet connection or something!!! Does anyone know of a firewall /virus software for phones??? Would appreciate any advice....

Have you checked the battery? It might be that

I had this with my P800 - although the P900 is supposed to handle this better.
Its either the battery(as suggested) or the internal drive has corrupted. The best way to recover(that worked for me) is to leave the battery off for an hour, try again, and keep trying - if it is this it will eventually come up and tell you it's corrupted and needs to be reformatted - in which case i hope you had a backup!
Hope this helps - but if it doesn't then post again and I'm sure we can try trouble shoot a bit more.

stead of leaving the battery out for ages, you can take it out and short circuit the terminals on the handset with a key or coin or something. This will short out any residual charges and it works a treat. Ive done this several times and it sorted my problems 100%.
