I am going to sell my P800 to a guy, as I am about to get a P900. Problem is, I cracked the screen last week, and am selling it $200 cheaper because of this. I want to do a master reset and transfer my contacts onto sim, only problem is I HAVE NO DISPLAY!!! As the screen is cracked, I cant see anything, the screen is just white. I know I can still get it to dial though, using the keypad, as I tried it. It sems the touchscreen still works!.
Can somebody PLEASE tell me how to get to the master reset option with just the jog dialler alone?!!?! As in, from the screen after I enter my device lock, then comes up with the applications menu. (with the keypad off) (or on, you can tell me how to do it).
What I need to know is how many turns on the jogdial, what direction, up, pdown, press in, etc. Im going at this blind, so I need to know. Also, when it asks for a master reset, I think it gives an option 'yes or no'. If this cant be done with the jog dial, could you please measure the area on the screen to press it?
I also need to know the same thing, but the option to transfer my contacts onto sim card.
GUYS, if somebody can help me out with this, I would gladly appreciate it. All my personal contacts are on there, as well as a whole heap of other stuff, for which I would just rather delete then let somebody else look at.
Thank you in advance

if its the same as the P900 the here goes
with the wheel
up, * , down, down, * , down *
then go down, down, down , press whell in
and then press down , and press whell in
I did this with my eyes closed and it worked. But I did it with the P900.

I managed to sync my contacts with my PC, so that part is taken care of. Now all I need is master reset!
what does * stand for? Do you mean down, as in turn wheel down, or press down? If you can, could you please translate that to either jog up/jog down, press down/pull up, press in. I want to get this right, as I dont think I have any idea of checking if it worked.
Could somebody with a P800 please confir that it is the same with the P900?? I dont think it is, as Im pretty sure there are more control panel options in the P900
Actually, I have bluetooth enabled, so its flashing blue. If I did a master reset, bluetooth should be deactivated by default, true? Meaning, after I reset, it should stop flashing blue?

I have a P800 and it is nearly right but not quite.
(in flip closed mode)
up,*,down,down,*,down,*
(this enters the service menu)
down,down,down,down,then press jog-dial in
(this selects Format Internal Disc)
down,press jog-dial in
(this selects yes)
You then have to enter your device code I think but I,m not trying that step!!!!

Ok, after I enter the device code, is there an option for like, continue? For which I must press yes or no? After the format, do I need to reset, or does it do it auto?
