> Problems w Opera on Vodafone!
Bookmark topic
hi!
I'm trying to use Opera on my P900 with Vodafone. When i try to open a webpage (wap page or normal http page) i'm asked for which connection i want to use.. i have the following list:
Vodafone GPRS WEB-GPRS
Vodafone GPRS MMS-GPRS
Vodafone GPRS-WAP-GPRS
Vodafone GSM WEB
vodafone GSM WAP
Ericsson WAP
Vodafone GPRS-GPRS
BUT whichever i chose, i can't get opera to work!! if i chose the most obvious one (Vodafone GPRS WEB-GPRS) i get an error message saying:
"Activation Rejected" and then opera crashes with a "Reason number 3" error message.
Any ideas?!?!?

Hi,
I'm no pro at this but it may be that your gprs isn't activated. Check the signal reading (bottom left) and above it should be a blue bar, if this is not there it could be that gprs isn't available in the area you are in or your grps isn't active in that case you need to give voda a ring and they will turn it on, its free and only takes a few hours.
If you can send mms then this may not be the case because mms uses gprs. It could be a setting somewhere needs changing.

Found the solution - if you get these errors you NEED to call vodafone and ask them to "Enable the APN" for Internet!! Some accounts gets only the APN for WAP enabled by default, it seems... well, now it works!
