These maybe stupid questions, but anyway...

1) What will happen if I synchronize my phone with Outlook after performing the Master Reset? Will all contact information, etc. be installed again from the PC? Or do I risk deleting all the contacts in Outlook with the blank info from the phone?

2) Will Master Reset also delete all my Connection settings (for MMS, Internet, WAP, etc.)? How can I restore them - do I have to enter them manually or can I download them from my PC?

3) Will Master Reset delete all the pictures, audio and video files? If so, how can I restore them?

Welcome to Esato

First, I dont know which phone you have. So I will persume its a P800/P900. Otherwise someone else will have to help you. Here are the answers for the P800/P900 phones:

1) Yes, all your calender, notes, e-mail and contacts will be back in your phone. Normally the sync station will ask you to sync before doing the backup. So you will not risk deleting your the contacts from your phone. However, the answer is based on that you've already made the settings in the sync. station.

2) Yes, a master reset will deltet all your connection settings, assumning your phone is not operator locked (in that case I cant help you). You will have to download new settings from your operator.

3) Yes, a master reset will erase all the pictures, audio and video files. You should while conected to your computer save the on your PC and them transfer them back after the master reset. If you have saved them on a memory card then they wont be affected of the master reset.

If you have a P800/P900 you should simply use your backup and restore program which was given to you when you bought your phone. Do a backup, then master reset and finally restore. This will prevail all your info in your phone.

hi,,,

im about to do a master reset,

hi have just dont the backup with the software i got with my 910,

so will keep all of the gprs settings etc etc?

how about text messages, calendar settings, tasks, jotter notes and things like that >?

the main reason im doing master reset is so that i can get sONY Desktop to work properly!
so i wanna clean out the registry settings regarding SEDT, cos a simple uninstall / reinstall isnt working,,,
