> Memory stick making the file bigger ?
Bookmark topic
hi, just know i reset my phone , and decided to put in back, every media file that i alreay d/l for my p900
but something just make me confused,
here's the problem.
all the file size is 38,7 MB when viewed on my PC,
but after they already transferred to the P900 memory stick, they grew become 72 MB !!!
all the files are the same and i havent put any soft or games on my memory stick!!!
ia that mean we can't really put in a 128MB worth of data to a 128 MB memory stick ??
can somebody explain what's happenig ?
and for info, the MS dua is already formatted.
thx

It may have something to do with the Px00's version of Windows 'cluster size' (or whatever it's called).
Is your 36Mb made up of loads of small files?
You can think of the storage as lots of small boxes. A small file which can fit into a box will do so, but any spare space in that box is now 'wasted' unless the file fills the box totally. Larger files will fill multiple boxes, but the last one usually has some 'empty space' and so wastes storage.
Lots of small files will generally be more wasteful; more boxes with space in them.
