> T610 : staying online
Bookmark topic
With gprs, on a

T200 i can go on wap, and quit it a moment (to go to on phonebook for example, but also on standby or talk) and then go again on wap sites without disconnect.
So i have only a few (long) sessions a day.
With

T610 i when i quit wap it disconnect from gprs (without ask me).
So i have many gprs sessions each day
How can i stay online when i quit wap browser ?
Or when i check for new emails.

Not disagreeing with Masseur here, but there is one little 'quirk' I've noticed on T610...
After downloading a Java game, the phone asks you if you want to 'start java application now?' or something similar.
If you press 'yes', the game starts and you stay connected to wap/GPRS!!!
Doesn't do it with mophun games, I've only seen it happen with Java games.
Could be an issue for the next firmware release, maybe?

Well there's no point in staying connected as there aint a 'resume' option, not on my t610 anyway,my t68i has it but thats no use :-( i want it in my t610!

Cycovision, yeah I commented in a similar thread a couple of months ago that when I ran Jbenchmark (a j2me app) and it submitted the results to their server, afterwards I was given the option ala T68i to stay connected. I have also seen it with cmessenger in the past too.

It happens to me sometimes too.
I checked my email once, then held down back to quit, but GPRS stayed activiated and did so all nite!
It didnt give me the option to quit or do it itself. Then I held down back again and a prompt came up asking if I wanted to stay connected!
This happens from time to time, I have R1L.

Compared to the t68i the resume fuction is one of the biggest let downs to me in the t610 waps ability. If you forget to bookmark a site, it means you have to go all throught the search engine links again, compared to the t68i where you press the resume button and it loads up the last page you looked at.
