A few weeks ago, I decided to give up with my trusty T610 and move to a *shudder* Nokia. A 6800 to be precise, the one with the flip out keyboard. The main reason for this is because I use my phone for e-mail and texting a lot, I thought it might come in handy.

But after only 48 hours using it, I chucked it back in it's box and went back to the trusty T610.

Why? Well, let's put it this way. The only good thing about the 6800 was the keyboard. Everything else was inferior to what was on my T610. The menu system I couldn't get to grips with. It was slow and clunky. The navigation controller was unresponsive and you couldn't press it in to select. The e-mail client kept crashing, I couldn't beam my pictures and ringtones from my T610 across to it because of the restricted IR, there was no Bluetooth, the polyphonic ringtones sounded awful, the screen was nowhere near as good and the phone was about 30% larger and much thicker than my T610.

I admit it must have a niche for people who want to be able to e-mail and text quickly on the move, but I couldn't get to grips with it at all. I've been spoilt by SE!

I bought an iPaq with Bluetooth and am now using that in combination with my T610 for e-mail and IM and web browsing. Okay it's two devices but they can both do a lot.

*bows down to SE* I will never leave you again.

I also tried the 6800, and found the keyboard to be obsolete. With T9 you write just as fast on ordinary keyboard as with the fold out keyboard on 6800. Other than the obsolete foldout keyboard the 6800 offers no features at all - no features other phones don't have. Except for a higher price

Am I really the only one here who donīt give a shite what manufacturers name i have on the cover of my phone?
I buy phones that suits (or comes closest to) my needs and is aesthetically pleasing to me.. *which rules out most current Nokias and the SX-1*
Seriously, why be prejudiced and maybe miss something great?
I even had a Samsung V200 for three weeks! *well, at least I tried!*
My dream-phone would have Nokias menu speed, Siemens adress book, programmable keys and filesystem, Samsung or Sharp display and t68i looks, maybe a little straightened out, and in anodized aluminum, and crap camera optional

@jonat8: I also have the T610 and are happy with it (apart from the Vodafone Firmware) and I also use an iPAQ3970

This combination works fine for me and I can do virtually anything, even browse the internet - and it does not take up too much space in my pocket.
