I'm just wondering why they make them.. where can you use them.. I'm thinking on ordering one to my shop.. but if i cant sell it i will not do that.. the whitepaper says P900 does not suport it or does it??
need answere fast..

Apparently, the 256mb duo/pros work in certain sony digicams, generally the newer ones, and i think some organisers can work with them with a firmware upgrade...
One of the many Sony press releases stated that the Pros should work in portable music players and mobile communication devices... though they were clearly spinning a yarn there, well at the moment anyway

Someone has requested clarification, from Sony i think, as to whether the normal 256 duo will work in the p900... unfortunately it appears that it will not work
There have also been a few other reports on here that it does not work either...
It therefore doesn't seem to be a duo pro specific problem, morelikes a restriction within the software itself

There are loads of the buggers by now !!! though none really asked in this sort of way... as in what devices actually support the 256mb cards... with the obligatory p900 bit stuck at the end... hehe

Please read through the threads already posted on this forum. I think you would have noticed that there is no 256mb DUOs (non-PRO format) in production at all.. As a matter of fact there is no press release that states such a product exists. The thread also discusses that several companies are making advertising blunders by neglecting to place the word "PRO" in their adds..
And as far as 256mb DUO PRO product line there are about 30 devices that came up on Sony's database when they queried that products compatibility. Moreover, there are a few 3G phones that support these sticks (505i). I have seen the Network Mp3 player that uses it as well as several Sony digi cams some camera shops...
