> P900 USB port problem
Bookmark topic
Hi all, I have just got a P900 and trying to hook it up to my Fujitsu notebook. The notebook's built-in bluetooth devices take up COM 6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12. When I installed the USB dock and plugged in the P900, the USB port required to use COM 7. This has been taken up earlier by Bluetooth device and as such the phone cannot be connected. I tried changing the ports for my Bluetooth device but not possible. Can I change the port used by the USB dock? I have tried reinstalling PC Suite but got same problem. Will appreciate all help.

It sounds a bit strange, since I use com port 5. Try conecting your cradle before starting your computer to com port 5 and see what happens. Another thing you could try is to search com ports thrue sync station. There might be some usefull help on this thread.

If that does not help, send a mess to SE at
www.sonyericsson.com/support, type your model number and click on "contact us"
I hope it works out for you

Thanks for the reply. I would appreciate if you could tell me how I could change the virtual com port that is currently assigned to the dock to another com port. I tried reinstalling PCSuite but it always came up with the same COM 7.
