According to David Pogue, the p900 should be over her in January.

I am bit skeptical, due to what happened with the p800. But i will be frustrated if this is true and they offer it for around $600. I paid almost $800 w/ shipping for mine, thinking that they weren't going to be over here for another 6 months. Only time will tell if i made a wise decision.

well, phones always go down in price with time and you pay a price to have it early.

Supply and Demand goes hand in hand in different markets. I don't think anyone has any reason to get upset over product price drops. You pay what you need to pay at the current rate based on supply and demand in your market at that time. Simple as that. SE has actually reported 2 months ago that they would try to ship these in the states before X-mas for that price range. However, they might not hit the market by their projected timeframe being that rollouts are not as fast as they should have been elsewhere.
Some have paid way more then you have, believe me. I saw a $650 price drop only two weeks after I purchased my P900. As far as the initial P800 prices I thought my paying $1050 USD for an unlocked phone in Europe was high. Not until I found out from a vendor in the states that he actually sold 4 of them for $1600 just 1 week prior to my buying one out there. Again, it was all based on supply and demand. If you are only one of two vendors selling P900s in your market you can make a nice profit until more vendors start stocking their supplies. Prices will naturally drop due to increased competition. So being that these units are not officially released in the states all prices will be grey market prices. They will never be manfucturer suggested retail prices at this point. That's how it always goes. Understand how rapid products move and you'll understand when to get the best deal. But then again, if you can afford it or really want it is it really worth waiting for a price drop????
