Hey, i just got a T306 mobile and it has a whole bunch of lord of the rings sounds and images stored on it. Well, i want to delete this crap so I can have some more storage space on my phone. I read about the 13 second trick but i dont wanna delete anything other than the LOTR stuff. I have a IR cable for my PC, and im going to buy the USB cable.. can this be done?

Just to warn you so you won't say that you spent $$$ and it doesn't work: for uploading files from phone to pc with cable you need float's mobile agent ( FMA )

Remembering previous threads and from trying the 13sec trick myself, predefined items can only be deleted by the correct firmware upgrade. Correct me if I an wrong though. The 13sec trick does NOT delete predefined items, not on the T610 anyway!!

I called sony ericsson, and I called rogers customer service, and I called rogers IT and they all had no idea. I dont even think any of them even knew what I was talking about.

Do a master reset, the
immediately fill up the memory to the very last byte (this will prevent your predefs from loading, the delete them one by one.
It takes time, but they will be gone.
(the master reset will also delete any wap settings you've set, or own pictures and ringtones and other downloaded content, so you may want to back those up first.

Correct me if I'm wrong (which I most probally am) but i read somewhere that doing that trick of filling up the phone doesn't actualyl delete the pictures it just hides them and stops them from being shown when you go into my pictures. But they are still actually there and taking up space.

Hmmm.... afaik (but of course I could be wrong) that is the case with the 13 second trick (which is effectively disallowing the master reset to finish it's run and this disallowing it to load up all stored items)
I've been told the filling up trick will actually delete everything.
If you have a few days pateince, I'm willing to test it out for ya on my t300 on wednesday (when I can safely toy with it

)
