ALL the P900 owners post your week of manufacturing which is mentioned near the sim card inserting area. This would help us to know whether the minor defects like squeaking noise and the red camera line have been corrected or not

I'm not sure if looking at the manufactured date would help. At least in the way you are attempting to analyze the issues (bugs). It appears that you imply that some of the bugs may have been tweaked over time. That said, it shows that there is the inferrence that all units manufacutered pre- xx/xx/03 must share a common bug. Thereby looking at units manufacturered post that date range should show signs of improvement (if any). I'm not sure if I'm understanding the gist of this thread correctly, but I would have to say that the results may be a bit skewed. For instance, I have a unit purchased on the third week of Oct. 03 that hasn't shown any signs of the bugs most phones purchased post Nov 1st has shown. However, from reading through the threads the past few weeks it appears that the buggy units have mostly been reported by owners of contract carrier firmware modified phones. That would lead me to think that a lot of the issues stemmed from some process in the custom modification of the OEM software in the P900.
I have since upgraded my firmware to the latest OEM. I have yet to see the issues that are common to most phone even after more then 7 weeks of possession. There are a couple 10 week old P900 owners I read that mentioned no issues with the bugs that most contract modified phone owners have reported... Thus, this issue may have to be geared to analyzing how these carriers may have screwed up the phones through the software customization process. That's my take on this.

I have an Orange P900 and I have not had any of the reported problems with the camcorder and BT. In fact I have not had any problems at all! My P900 date is W44 03. I have used more of the functions of the P900 than I did with my P800.

That's good m8. You're one of the lucky ones. However, as I stated earlier more complaints have come from modified firmware phone owners. I think the bugs are comming from the applications rather the the hardware. Thus, if one were to flash their (Orange) phone with OEM firmware I think some of the bugs would go away.

Now how do you flash the modified firmware (say O2) with the original one? Could you still do it from the Sony Ericsson Online update website? by simply enter a different CDA code? Or do you have to actually take it somewhere and have it done?
