Sorry to hear that you are selling your belloved. This should not be any problem to restore on the new one (I am 99% sure). I did a manuall backup when I switched from 800 to 900.

And Chrisfirst, you are my 100 post! Take a look to the left

@chrisfirst

No price! Sorry mate

My english is a bit bad, so I wonder what do you mean by "jotter"? I thought that it means the same thing as notes, and in that case it goes with yor sync to outlook.

@dwin_888

What I did, was to copy al my regular files into my computer and a sync. By doing this I got my pics., sounds, vids, contacts, calender, notes, tasks and e-mail to my pc. However this did not save my sms and my internet settings!

I dont know if the p800 has this function, but with the p900 you can copy your sms to your sim and in that way save it. Another thing you loose is your bookmarks.

Sorry to hear about your loss all i can offer you at this harrowing moment are my condolences i know the unit was very young but i hope you can take some comfort in the fact that it has gone to a better place

I also hear that you are expecting a new arrival in january i would like to be the first to congratulate you and hope the new arrival gives you the same hope and wisdom as your previous one did

I know the new arrival will not have the same fondness as the first one did but all i can say is that time heals all

GOD BLESS YOU

dwin. That's also my problem I have restored eeything from jotter to tasks and contacts and all audio and video. The only problem I'm having is the sms I tried restoring it manually but it's not 100% working. dunno why it's happening that why. But I posted this topic and hopefully someone can help.
