say if i wanted to get to a page but this requires me browsing through other pages first its a lot cheaper for me to use wap as this charges me on the time it takes, not the pages i download. but when i get to that page i want to read it for a while so gprs is a lot cheaper.
if they could somehow merge the 2 together it would me much better or give you the option to view the page offline.

I think you might be getting confused about the terms "wap" and "gprs".
"gprs" refers to the connection method gprs being "always on, charged by data amount" and csd being "dialup connection, charged by time"
"wap" refers to the protocol used to transfer the data. wap is used OVER grps and/or csd.
Hope I am not teaching granny....

If your browsing via gprs and come to something that would be cheaper to dl via wap csd, then you would like to change over. This is'nt possible to do while online, but if we had a 'resume' option then it would be possible by going offline>>change profile>>resume, would solve it

CSD will be cheaper then GPRS only when downloading files/e-mail. Since ordinary text WAP pages are usually very small (especially if you turn off pictures), you will end up paying much more if using CSD (since you are actually connected & charged for the time you use reading the pages).

you should have the option to choose which data account you connect with - I have CSD or GPRS - You could just bookmark the page - disconnect, change over data accounts & then go back to the bookmark.
I always use GPRS as it's usually faster & free at the moment - plus it will only be £1 per mb after Jan -
ahhh... the perks for working @ Orange

Will the £1/MB GPRS tarriff after January apply to all orange customers? I'm on Orange monthly contract, can't remember the name of the price plan but it's £25 per month, I think my GPRS is £4 per month for 3MB, then £2.55 per MB after that. £1 per MB sounds much better!!!
