> memory stick help needed on p900
Bookmark topic
Well got my first p900 on orange in the post this morning, but having a few teething troubles.
I can't seem to get the p900 to read files off the memory stick at all. I've tried putting mp3's, mp4's, you name it, i've tried it and it's not having it at all. Is there any special way that these have to be put onto the memory card? I've been putting them on via a card reader/writer and using the supplied adaptor for the duo.
Have also tried formating the card using the p900 and that has not worked either.
Just one more thing, is it worth flashing the software to get rid of all the orange crap?
thanks...........

1. It is worth copying all the video, MP3 etc from Orange on to the Duo as you may want to use in the future. Then you can format the c: drive and get rid of the rubbish.
2. You know that Video files need to go to the "d:media files\video\unfiled" directory and music to "d:media files\audio\unfiled" etc? When you format the Duo card the standard directories should be set-up
Also why not try to place a Word document on d:media filesdocumentunfiled and see if you can view this using the Viewer app. Or why try to install an app on the Duo. If you can install apps and read a Word document we can conclude that the Duo is working correctly.

for player to pick them, audio files need to be in a specific directory as specified earlier in this post. please understand that in addition to formatting the duo, a specific folder structure needs to be created and adhered to (you may call it Px00 file system

)
