Well its smoother.. but the player needs alot of work to appeal to UIQ users. No volume, file selection & track options... just a file player.
Also, having to encode your own clips first using VirtualDub.. and then with their convertor.. could/would put some off.
Il personally be following their dev.. but not using it much..

Actually this woks really well. The quality is indeed super compared to the built in video player / mp4 format. Considering that it's a beta, there could be cool things to expect in the future..
I hope they'll make a program with GUI and simplier convertion method.

yes i just tested this too. video quality is amazing. but its my audio stutters throughout the whole thing. im changing the audio bitrate back to 22hertz instead the 16hrtz that was suggested and see how that work. well yes there is no pause, no forward or backwards and u have to click on the screen to where it says do u want to save it or not. just click no. i tried doing it with just clicking back on the jogdial and it froze my p900. couldnt even press power to turn off, had to take the battery out. well how they'll see these bugs too and have it fix on the next beta or something
update
with the 22hrtz i cant converted to .mo file.
the first time i tried it with their real settings its works fine but it was way too small. then i tried it with landscape mode and res to 320by224 instead of their 176by176 which was for a nokia screen and that's when the stuttering started. i dont see why changing the res and to landscape mode effects the audio. u guys try these settings and let me know wat's going on with urs.

Ye same results for me, if they improve the sound problem and add a few features (eg pause, volume, interface etc) Then this will be fantastic, i use my p900 to watch all sorts of vids, football action, music videos. Plus it uses the whole of the screen.
very promising

Thisthingy is superb!
Try converting flash files! It runs magnificently fast & smooth!
I just love it, and I'm happy that it has been released for free!!
(Haven't tried the video option yet

)
As I know it was first concepted for s60 flash player, but it is well ported to UIQ, and some coll features added!
This thingy roxx!!!

That player is really really great and it is an alternative to the camcorder as player. Let me say it is really even BETTER.
Itīs just a little tricky to convert, but when itīs clear, itīs no more problem. The stuttering sound problem can be solved by keeping down the quality. Anyway that has to be done, because files get much too large with high quality (15MB for a video-clip).
The flash option is really worthless, i tried to convert such a lot of swf-files, I mean, 15-20, most were not converted becuause of wrong sound format and the others produced mistakes and didnīt work.
Choosing an option was also not possible. If it could convert ANY flash fully working, it would be amazing. But so....
For resizing and converting the videos I made an Excel-Sheet that calculates the right size and gives a hint for VDub. I just thought you could be interested:
