I have a weird problem. When I connect my brand new HBH-65 to the charger, the unit turns off itself, and starts charging (according to the manual it should not turn itself off while charging). After a while, I hear repeating beeps in every 5-10 minutes, and the charging process never stops, the status led never turns to green, it remains steady red.

Is this normal? My old HBH-30 did not behave this way.

Thanks. I'll return the headset then.

Mine beeps every so often, but it does turn green eventually... should I still take it back?

Yea, that seems lika a pretty good idea. At least let them have a look at it. As far as I know, a Bluetooth headset should not beep much. At least my SE HBH-60 doesn't beep but when turning it on or off.

I noticed mine was beeping last week too. I'd unplug it, turn the unit off, then replug it in again. 5 or 10 minutes later it would beep again. I'd unplug it and find that it turned on by itself. I did this at least 3 times. I finally got fed up and took the unit home from work and charged it with the phone nowhere near the hbh-65. Apparently the bluetooth part of the T616 was still broadcasting and asking where the hbh-65 was and intereferring or so my theory goes. It's been working fine since then.

I found that after 20 minutes of talking, though, the headset would beep in my ear telling me the battery was running low. (I just received this unit from Sony Ericsson too) However, that's like the halfway point of the battery power as I'm able to talk for another 20 or so minutes more. Weird. I don't remember that happening before I returned my broken unit. So overall 40 - 45 minutes of talk time with a T616 isn't bad, I guess.

I am having a similar problem.

I have had my brand new HBH-65 on charge for 2.5 hours and it still stays solid red - the manual states 1-1.5 hours for a full charge.

Perhaps I should return it?

Be patient and keep it plugged in. My first unit needed to be charged for over 6 hours. Once it was done then it worked perfectly with the 1.5 hour charge.
