Ok,
I will only buy this phone, if and only if you can remove this increasing sh*t ringingtone!

So T630 users, is it still like t610, with no option to remove the increasing?

But what you have to remember is the T630 is just an upgraded version of the T610, maybe other se fones in the future will be different This message was posted from a T610

get a Z600, its doesn't do that.

is it really such a big issue or do you want a pda phone anyway? I must say I have been tempted a couple of times, though not for this reason as I use silent always and so this never bothers me.

Its because both T610/T630 uses the earpiece for midi output so SE decide to put this increasing ring feature to protect your hearing if a sudden loud midi rings on your ear !

Yeah I know all their excuses!
I, may I be the only one, never have the phone at my ear if I am not speaking with it!
So that feature is annoying and there is no excuse why they wont let us choose if we want it or not!
And not only is it increasing but the ringing tone start a while after it rings..

I actually now never use ringingtones, well I use one called Helicopter, but it only vibrates. Cause I never hear other ringingtones anyway and a good vibrating ringingtone is more effective.

Soo annoying!

And Z600 is ugly and big!
The only other phone from SE is T68i that I like! All others are not even so good. Only P800/900, which actually are so expensive. I can get a PDA for half the price and with better functionality and better looking.

But of course SE is the best phone company, nokia is worst, samsung are good but no IR and Bluetooth communication with other devices. Siemens are ugly, and motorola are hopeless.

One hope I had was SE 3G phones, but then they did Z1010.
And I don't understand what SE are doing, they have wonderful 3G phones in Japan, but still they design an ugly 3G phone, Z1010, for us in europe.

I will go and buy a PDA, till SE makes good phones again!

*thinking back to the wonderfull short time period of T39m and T68*

I think u can find a pda at a half price, but not one with phone functionality. Then u have to carry 2 devices. It seems childish not to buy a phone just cuz it has this feature that doesnt bother any1-i actually find it very usefull,as i made a special 'home' profile so the phone won't start roaring. So,find a real reason instead ane yes, there r other brands2consider at the same price and quality. This message was posted from a T610

Is the increasing ring a sofware or hardware issue? Software, I'd of thought. Let's all petition and get the damn ringtone issue sorted out in the next firmware upgrade!!

I'm being serious! The forced increasing ringtone is one of the very few things I don't like about my T610

I read on a post a few days a go that the latest firmware deals with the issue of ringtones being a bit quiet, however I have no idea if that was true.
