Kinda related to this - how the hell do you enter an asterisk (*) with the flip closed?!

I've tried all the keys on the flip to no avail - and also the 'Add symbol' table under 'Text Options'.

Alternatively, I could just have a blind spot in the middle of my vision...

Only works in multitap mode.

Doesn't work in T9 mode - hash key inserts a space.

So how can you enter an asterisk in T9 mode?!

it was on that chart (to right)

do the virtical line in the bottom half of the screen then draw three lines in the top half 1 left to right, 1 top left to bottom right and one top right to bottom left
