I am having trouble deciding which phone I would rather get, the Motorola V600 or the SE Z600.. Im a fan of the 850mhz and the better camera/screen and MP3 ringtone on the V600, but dont like its lack of IR(?) or Bluetooth(?) and ive heard bad things about Moto menus. I like the t68i i have now, so i like SE, plus i have se parts. Can i get some suggestions and some pros/cons about both phones..plus if anyone has release info like date and price.

The V600 certainly has bluetooth but no IR. It also has video recording. However the price will certainly be higher than the Z600 maybe with at least US$150 difference. The V500 is a better competitor to the Z600 with same specs of the V600 but without video recording and it will cost slightly more than the Z600.

the z600 has one HUGE advantage - it's actually available. the v600, while having impressive specs, has been delayed multiple times and AFAIK it won't be available until next year. i think the main advantages of the moto are the memory and the camera. if the cam isn't that important to you then i would personally getthe z600 for the superior UI.
there are other threads on this around the forum, and threads comparing v600 and t610, so a search may help with some more answers.

Hi Gelfen,
I currently have both a V500 and the Z600 and am very surprised by your UI comments. The V500 has a much easier UI - have you used one or is this based on you past experience. I think you hvae to give Motorola credit for really doing a good job here. Now we have both SE and Moto with better UIs that Nodia.
With regards to the V500 it also has J2ME MIDP2.0 which is a big plus for anyone that likes games or who wants to use secure J2ME based applications as it supports the common security policies which will be a big issue for enterprise application support.
The V600 does not support video capture just MPEG4 and H.362 playback. I saw that the 600 Aston Martin version is now available so I guess the regular version will be out in the next few days.

my comments were partly pased on previous moto experience, but also on comments i have read here and elsewhere regarding v600 UI (i.e. not that it was particularly bad, just not as good as it could be)
however, having not played with one myself i will leave detailed comments to those who have experience witht the phone.

I am under the impression from what I have read, that the V600 will be the same as the V500 and only store one phone number per contact, which would be a real pain and enough to put me off.
