> Customized Avatars for Moderators
Bookmark topic
this is aimed mainly at the mods, but i would also like feedback from others. i think it would help the forum, and especially newbies, if the moderators had customised avatars. they could either all be personalised (e.g. tranquil's black P800 with the esato logo), or remain as the nominated phone avatar with the addition of the word "moderator" (and of course laffen could have "webmaster" or "founder"), or even be a specific moderator avatar. that way it would be obvious within threads who the moderators were, rather than the small notification at the top of each forum which is not immediately obvious.
i have seen this on other forums (e.g. mobiledia) and it seems to work quite well, because when scrolling through threads it is readily apparent who's in charge.
...just my 2c

While I do like tranquils avatar I am not too fussed about having that over mine. It suits the P800/P900 style but would cover half the phone of the types that I have.
Also I change my phones every few months and poor laffen would have to be creating me new avatars each time!
No, I think a simple text under the avatar, but not part of the avatar, would be sufficient for this purpose should it be introduced.

Ther is another reason for this. (I know my avatar is different but...)
Moderator actually do join in in orderary discussions as well and might not allways want to have "Moderator" plastered all over a post where he said someting borderline or might not neven remember having posted the morning after.
It is advisable thoug that a mod who does comment on "off topics" or some kind of OTT behaviour skip their personal signature and "sign" it Moderator or Team Esato
