I saw a post a while ago sayin how SE were gonna introduce a WAP service that enabled a user to update their firmware via WAP...

That happened to this service? Is it now non-existant ot is it just taking its time to become available to us?

haven't seen that thread... but can say that I doubt

would release such service, it's way to risky updating a phone through WAP, besides, if you are running WAP on your phone it means those parts of the firmware which handles WAP can't be updated since they are active during the update.

announced here that online phone updates would become available. however, this service will initially only be available for the P900 and has (unfortunately) been delayed somewhat for "technical" reasons.

i.e. "technically" the press release boobed and they weren't ready at the time of announcement.
