How do I send a ring tone from my Z600? the only option I have is to send it as a picture message

Z600 bugs....

1 - I tried to make a call yesterday and my phone then deffened me with lots of noise and crashed! anyone else had this??

2 - Battery yesterday was in the red, no its back to half way today

3 - How come it sometimes says the message has failed when it has actualy been sent?

Im sure I have some more bugs to report but I cant think of them right now

to send a ringtone via BT:

Pictures & sounds > My sounds > scroll to ringtone and select More > Send > Via Bluetooth

however, if you have provider customised firmware then some menu options may not be available.

1. i'd live with the crash - they are an expected occurrence and really only more of an annoyance than a problem. if it begins to occur regularly then take it back to your supplier (especially if you are able to replicate the crash by repeating the same key press sequence). however, be aware the multiple key entries in rapid succesion or opening the flip while the phone is processing something else - such as an incoming text or charger disconnection - will likely cause a crash. allow the phone time to process the inputs. there was an ongoing discussion wrt z600 crashes in a thread called "Emergency Z600" but i can't find it now (and i was just reading it a half hour or so ago, so maybe it's been turfed?)

2. apparently this sort of thing occurs on all phones. there is a discussion i started in this thread, although i'm still waiting for some more detailed info.

3. my guess is it probably timed out and the message was sent fractionally before, or it got an incorrect signal from the network. if you mean sending via bt, the fautly return signal may still be the case. others probably have a better explanation.

Yea it was, plus that the poster started swaring at everyone, so I think thats why it got deleted. It was put into the garbage thread but then deleted. Anyway sorry to go a bit off topic there Paul_C.

ahh whoops.

does it have IR? you might be able to do it direct from one to the other, although probably only if it's another . however you could do it via the z600>pc>phone.

Its a Sharp GX10 and it does have IR but our phones wont communicate with each other via IR

I think SE - PC - GX10 is the only option then, I cant figure out why it gives me the option of sending it as a picture message though
