I downloaded the software, got it to work with the T39. I use IR for connectivity.
There are times that I get a message that says the phone is disconnected, even if the IR comm between the two is working (according to windows). Is there a way to manually re-establish the communication between the two devices within the application?
What i do right now is to exit the program, and re-launch it.
TIA

Found the answer!
Just do a manual re-synch with the phone will do the trick.

the help file states that you can use cable (no specifications), bluetooth and IR for connectivity.
most likely, it would work.

I use the MA (Mobile Action) Fone Data Suite for T39/68/68i/R320 and R520.
I comes with a USB Cable and works a treat to manage SMS's and my Phone Book

I hope to see improvements on future versions of the program like:
i hate it that i must have to copy/paste (or memorize) the contact's number before i can send him/her an SMS
an option to archive messages from the phone to the PC, instead of just copying them.
what if they distribute the source of the program (or just the specs) so others can make their own software for their phones?

@GOwin,
a) why cut and paste when you can: Click 'New text message' in the toolbar then click on a phonebook entry and the number will be added in the Send text message window To: list. Use CTRL-click to select multiple phonebook entries to send SMS to more than one recipient.
b) i don't know if i understand your second point correctly but messages are archived because once the messages are 'copied' from the phone to the software, even though messages are now deleted on the phone, they remain on your PC.
c) i can't answer that question, but if you'd like to tinker around a little bit the phonebook and text messages are store on this file: C:\Program Files\Ericsson\Communications Suite\Phonebook & Text Message Manager\Data\ecsmca.xml
cheers.
