> Memory info: RAM (What is that about?)
Bookmark topic
I was just wondering...I have the new handy day 2004 version and now it says under memory info:
RAM
Internal
External
I understand the internal and external, stuff but what is the ram, and why is it 90% full? I assume that by turning off the phone the ram will be cleared (cause it is volatile). Is it bad that there is only 1.3m free of 16m...will that jam the phone and how do you reduce it.
Any info would be welcomed!

there is a difference between RAM and the internal memory, the p800 was locking when the internal memory was full, and not when the RAM was full. each memory serves different purposes in the phone. RAM is where the phone is loading information such as phonebook, messages, and other applications on startup or when u run a an application, while the internal memory is like the ''hdd'' of the phone where it stores the files even when the phone is turned off.
