thought i could start a thread about pocket pc usage with t68. i just got a 3630 and it's cool to see how it works together with gprs using t68.

now my question...
Are there any good programs to sync the t68 and the ipaq directly?
( i saw the thread about the xtsomething, but this is just too costly)

Is it possible to get a logo handling program for pocket pc?

The sms apps i've found are far from satisfying.. do any of you know of any packages that are any good?

Anyways... e-mailing, waping and messenger works like a charm.

I'm using Conduits Peacemaker with my CASIO E-115.

Can upload and download pics and tunes over IR.

Have you guys successfully connected your t68i via IR to you e-115 for GPRS? I have tried to connect with no luck so far. Any settings I need to setup on my e-115?

Here's my configuration using casio em-500 and t68i(Globe gprs):

First Make a new modem connection
Enter a name for the connection: (any name)
Select a modem: Generic IrDA modem
Baud Rate:115200
Click==>Next

Country code: 63
Area code: 02
Phone number: *99*#

Click==>Next
Click==>Finish

Click==>Dialing
be sure that the area code is 02 and country code is 63

Click==>Dialing Patterns...
For loacal calls, dial: g
For long distance calls, dial: g
For international calls, dial: g
Click==>ok

(note: i assume that the gprs on your t68i is already activated)
After that activate the IR of your t68i and make a connection with the pocket pc's IR. In your pocket pc, go to Connections folder under Programs the click the modem set up you configured.
User name: globe
Password: globe
Phone:T*99*# Click==>Connect

Hope this one works for you! Good Luck!

Go to myGlobe and you will see the correct settings there. o summarize, you need to do the following:

On T68i

-Create a new Data Comm account - name it GPRS_Internet
-APN should be "internet"

On PocketPC

-Use telephone number *99***# instead. This is the correct number.
-Make sure you uncheck Disconnect if not connected within .... seconds as well as Wait for dial tone ....
-You can also put the following in extra modem string settings (optional) : +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet.globe.com.ph"

Hope this helps

btw, the number to dial on your ipaq should be *99***n#, where "n" is the cid number found on the gprs account setting of the t68i.
