you can't it's different. p9 and p8 have different language. or if you are more of a contact person. yoo can import the contacts from the p800 try a search and you'll know. but for the sms maybe impossible.

What you can do is to:
1. start with a normal sync (p800 to PC).
2. Copy al files from p800 to PC, I would advice you to create a specific folder on your PC.
3. Copy sms from phone to sim, if possible (this function is possible on p900, dont know if it is on p800).
4. Now, sync your p900 with your PC
5. Copy files from PC to p900
So what are you missing?
1. You will not have al your internet, wap, gprs settings in the new phone (I suggest you check your operator for the settings)
2. You are missing your bookmarks from wap sites
3. You are missing the profile you have created, pictures and sounds attached to specific persons.
I might have forgotten something, but I hope I could be to some help.
Enjoy your new P900

the p800 and p900 have different uiq version operating systems and the p900 wont recognise them, and registered programs will not recognise the new imei number.
so if u still have ur p800, copy everything u want 2 keep, photos, docs, etc on2 ur duo. make a new backup, install winzip or other zip utility. use backup and restore 2 export ur backup 2 the desktop, unzip it with winzip, copy and paste all things u want 2 keep in2 a new folder, put them on the duo and use a file manager program on the p800 2 place them in the right place. it helps if u sync ur contacts, and have a card reader.
or if u have installed most programs on the duo, if u re install those programs, the missing bits that were on c drive of ur p800 will get installed in c drive of ur p900.
important info!
b4 u mess with anything backup ur p900 1st, as u can always restore it if u have 2 if u mess things up!
good luck! i have 2 p800's and a p900 and am keeping all 3. next time u download a zip program, save it b4 u install it as u can re install it later when u have stored them all on ur pc or cd or spare memory stick. it makes life so much easier! hope what i said can help somebody!
