Hi,

I'm the happy owner of an Ericsson T39m. But I discovered a problem in it. When I start to make an e-mail and I enter the to address or choose a name in my contract list the phone reboots itself. It shuts down at starts up again. The e-mail is stored in the concept mailbox, but as soon as I try to open it the phone reboots again.

Does somebody else also have this problem or does anyone know how to fix this problem??

First of all, WELCOME TO ESATO.

I think i encountered someone who had the same problem, and he had the unit replaced by the vendor. Maybe you should bring it back too?

Thanks for the welcoming.

The man at the service point did mentioned also to replace the phone, but then I have to mis my phone for 2 or 3 weeks.

I also have a problem with connecting my phone to an iPaq by IR. The phone starts dailing, but then he stops dailing and the iPaq says: Phoneline busy.

Does anyone has this problem as well??

I did a total reset and now everything works fine. I can e-mail again. Just that simple, but did thought of it sooner.

I had a similar problem with my T39 while surfing WAP sites. The phone was occasionally reboot.

I contacted SE UK today and they told me to master reset the phone then go to their web site and have the correct WAP settings sms'd to me.

Now the phone is working perfectly. So, thanks very much SE UK

what do you mean by "reboot".... does the phone just restart or do you just lose the connection to the network?

No it simply reboots. Just like a computer. It turns off and on automatically. It looks like the phone went off, but if you wait for a while it turns on again.

No, in my case it was when I entered an e-mail address to send an e-mail. But after the master reset it was over.

But as soon as I entered an e-mail address of picked some one out the contactlist the phone rebooted. Even new firmware couldn't solve the problem. I've got 4R008, but the problem was still there. I send all my contacts to my laptop by Bluetooth and then resetted my phone. Now the problem is gone.

My phone used to reboot also but after a week it never did that again. I've been using it for 6 months now w/out a hassle. Maybe needs breaking-in? This post was posted from a T68
