Hi,
a friend started to make some short videos on my p900's 128MB duo. After a while, the p900 started saying that the duo is read only and could not have it's items modified.
I deleted and even reformatted the duo on my pc but the p900 still recognizes the duo as read only. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!

Whenn i read the first part of your post, i was going to suggest you look for a little tiny locking switch on the back of your Duo, but as you have deleted it on your PC, this idea would not make sense.

format your duo using your phone not the pc.

I tried to format the Duo using the phone, but the phone still sees the Duo as "Read Only"
When I insert the Duo, the phone automatically says "Disk Error -cannot complete ...."
I tried doing a scandisk and chkdsk using the pc and found no errors on the Duo.

I haven't tried this myself (memory reader lent to someone), but using your memory reader, check the properties of the card and make sure that it has not been set to read only.

turn the phone off, take battery out, put battery in, then turn the phone on. with some luck, it should be OK again- good luck.

maybe there's a problem with your duo. I experienced this one time from a SANDISK MMC Card. I tried formatting it and it says read only. You cannot copy/past anything. Just Have your duo replaced by a new one.

Hi, it seems that it might be the Duo getting busted due to the many read-writes I've done. (?) It happened to the 16 MB duo that came with my old p800. When I moved to the P900, this error occurred. I am guessing it might be the duo since I tried using it on a Sony Camera and it could not recognize the duo.
BTW this is an error message when I insert the duo into the p900 - z:\System\data\quartz.mbm in use
Any of you have any clues on this?
Thanks
