what would a master reset do to my t65?

delete phonebook, delete all pictures/ringotnes you have saved (only preinstalled pictures/ringtones are left), reset all phonesettings to default etc

if you have used up all free memory space in the phone before doing a master reset you might notice a small speed improvement afterwards.
