Hey all,
I just got the firmware upgrade for the T68i (R2A to R2b025).
I am curious to your agreements/disagreements:
As promised, more processing power has been dedicated to T9. Definitely faster, and pretty well keeps up with speedy text input. What I have found, though, is that it has taken away a little processing power from phonebook dialling/answering functions. I found now there is a slight delay on these things, even as far as answering a call.
The new T9 word choice list I find annoying ... I didn't mind scrolling through the choices at the word I am doing like the old way. Now, it just blocks the text screen when in use. I bet this list thing will be gotten rid of.
Otherwise, I see no other differences.

What do you mean by blocking the text screen? You scare me! ;-) Do you think it's worth upgrading?

The scroll-list can be removed. You can do this when writing an sms.
Use the menu-button under YES. I think its called "suggestions/choices",...thats directly translated from danish
You have an option called "on" or "off".

Some difference is on email section, now you can choose to download the header only or all with text content, also you have option to attach picture from my picture gallery upon sending email.

Thanks, Jan, that menu choice to turn off word choice is nice -- the actual English menu is called "candidates" ... appreciate the tip!

Do you have to turn it off every time you write an sms or does it remember the last time you turned it off?

Ok just another whine from a previously satisfied Nokia owner....
When you guys answer the phone on your T68i's if you press yes and speak immediately does the other person say that they don't hear the start of what you say?? I.e. I press yes and say 'hello' and the person at the other end hears the 'o' part. Any one else had this problem p.s. I have R2A for my T68 and I was just wondering if this had been sorted
